In the City of Arts and Sciences, where Spain’s historic splendor melds gracefully with the avant-garde architecture of the new millennium, the ribbon falls on the Ideal Scientology Mission of Valencia in classic Spanish style.
As the festive strains of Flamenco melody filled the air, dignitaries joined Scientologists and their guests from throughout Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Bilbao, Vitoria, Murcia) and even Portugal to celebrate the dedication of the Ideal Scientology Mission of Valencia Saturday, November 28, marking a milestone as the first Ideal Mission in the nation and just the second to open on the European continent and fourth in the world.
Scientology Missions form the vanguard of the Scientology religion, providing the full array of basic and introductory Scientology services and Scientology auditing (spiritual counseling). Now joining the ranks of Ideal Missions, the Church of Scientology Mission of Valencia is designed to serve as the physical embodiment of Scientology technology in helping all to attain spiritual freedom.

In this capacity he works to create and implement policies to ensure zero discrimination and received the attendees with the following words of welcome and recognition:
“Our regional government, which of all people, has the mandate to ensure that the diversity of Valencia is not only maintained but that it is strengthened. Today we are talking about the diversity of beliefs, of respect for all of them, of respect of all people to profess or not, a belief. About interfaith dialogue, and your faith amongst them. A religion rooted in this city, with your presence in these three decades, performing social activities, bringing awareness of citizens rights and working to bring happiness to its members and those around them. And after so many years, it is a great merit, for the task you undertook, that you have come to achieve to be the 4th Scientology Mission in the world, and the recognition as an Ideal Mission!”
Right after, it was the turn of Mr. Jose Antonio Ranz, from the Foundation Pluralism and Coexistence of the Spanish Ministry of Justice, who has worked for near to a decade with the national government in the strengthening of the rights of all religion in Spain, and in fact, this Foundation is the leading organization in Spain on assisting all religions to freely practice their faith, and when addressing the scientologists said:
“We are particularly pleased to be joining you today to not only recognize your great achievement and expansion, but so that by knowing your reality, we from the Foundation, be able to keep working in the normalization of the faiths in the Spanish society. it is my honor to pass on in the name of our foundation our best wishes and support, we are here to work with you so people of all faiths may practice their faiths freely. And by so doing you are helping us strengthening the pluralism and social cohesion, showing the benefit that faiths can bring to every part of our culture…”.

Amongst other significant achievements, he has directed and introduced regulations that improved the equal treatment for all religions and for these and many other things he was recognized with the Religious Freedom Award of 2014, and at the event he thanked the members of the church for:
“having helped many people in Valencia and Spain to fight and to win the battle against the blot of drugs, which has been and is still a nightmare for Spanish families, and also thank for your work in favor of Human Rights. Continue this task. working in favor of people and bringing values of coexistence is something always specially needed in the Spanish society. Each one of us, from ur own religious beliefs, work towards that, to have a better society, more respectful, more solitary, more human and with common values”.
Then it was the turn of Mr. Luis Alberto Alarcon, President of the Foundation Life-Green Ecological Group; he is one of the leaders of the Spanish Black Community, he played a crucial role in bringing about a watershed parliamentary decision recognizing the legacy of Spanish people of African descent, and in turn, setting the stage for new policies to safeguard their future. He further strengthened the foundations of a strong rights action, with the establishment of the Black Parliament of Spain and said:
“experience has taught me, it is social organizations that must bring the fight to every echelon of our society to actually deliver real impact. And amongst those organizations, standing ever so prominently, was the Church of Scientology. The day I found you, and learned what your Founder did to give rights to my descendants, that day I knew I had once more been blessed! So it is, that through your educational work you have the power to use your ability to teach and impart knowledge to make real change for our society. And that is something for which every citizen of this world can be thankful!”.
And to finalize, Mr. Ivan Arjona, when addressing all Scientologists and their guests, having amongst them the recognized author and journalist Gabriel Carrion, the representatives of the Valencia Cameroon Associations, singer of the Spain The Voice show, Raquel Garrido, and many other including personnel of the firefighters and the law enforcement bodies, said:
“Our community programs which are addressing every social plague are used with incredible results wherever they have been tested. If your area has a drug problem, you can use the campaign “The Truth About Drugs”. If human rights violations are becoming the daily bread and butter, you can put into action “Youth for Human Rights”. If your district needs to strengthen its values of good people, you just have to put a booklet “The Way to Happiness” in the hands of the entire neighborhood and behold the positive changes that will result from that. And if above it all, you need and want to survive and create survival for those around you, then you can simply come to this ideal Mission, find out about Scientology and embark on the adventure of our spiritual technology”.
Visitors to the Valencia Mission are welcome to visit the Public Information Display, featuring multimedia presentations of the basic beliefs and practices of Dianetics and Scientology as well as the life and legacy of Scientology Founder, L. Ron Hubbard.

The new Mission also offers seminars on a wide range of topics, including personal efficiency. The Hubbard Dianetics Seminar is based on Mr. Hubbard’s watershed work Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, the best-selling book that reveals the source of one’s nightmares, unreasonable fears and irrational behavior—the reactive mind—and how to conquer it.
Additionally, the Mission provides spiritual counseling, known as auditing and the Purification Program, developed by Mr. Hubbard to free individuals from the mental and spiritual damage caused by drugs and toxins.
The Scientology religion was founded by author and philosopher L. Ron Hubbard. The first Church of Scientology was formed in Los Angeles in 1954, and the religion has expanded to more than 11,000 Churches, Missions and affiliated groups globally, with millions of members in 167 countries.
